Collection 1000012 (herbarium acc. no. L 960.110-171, L 0054086) is Hebeloma bulbiferum. It is the holotype of heterotypic synonym Hebeloma colossus Huijsman (1961).

Description

    Collection 1000012 was collected by H.S.C. Huijsman on 8th October 1960 in Ste Baume, FRANCE (approx. 44.03°N, 4.68°E, altitude approximately 155 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous woodland, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth not recorded; number of complete lamellae 100; tears visible with naked eye; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 60 x 35 {median} x 50 {basal} mm; stipe Q not recorded; base bulbous; floccosity floccose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure not recorded; smell raphanoid weakly; taste raphanoid weakly.
