Collection 11378 was collected by H.J. Beker on 22nd October 2005 in Urdiain, Navarre, SPAIN (42.906°N, 2.1503°W, altitude approximately 490 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Quercus) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous woodland with a substrate of decomposed litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Pileus: 57–60 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting yes; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre buff-yellow; and colour at margin cream; with remains of universal veil yes.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 7 mm; number of complete lamellae 105; tears visible with x10 lens; white fimbriate edge weak.
Stipe: 94 x 13 {median} x 13 {basal} mm; stipe Q 7.2; base tapering; floccosity floccose; rooting yes; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base yes; slenderness measure 11.9; smell marzipan; taste not recorded.
