Collecting details

Collection 10282 was collected by M. Lenne, det: H.J. Beker on 7th October 2004 in Biron, Namur, BELGIUM (approx. 50.3°N, 5.11°E, altitude approximately 250 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.
The surrounding habitat was described as coniferous woodland with a substrate of calcareous, decomposed soil and litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Macroscopic description
Cortina present: no.
Pileus: 30–41 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous not recorded; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre warm buff; and colour at margin cream; with remains of universal veil no.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 5 mm; number of complete lamellae 62; tears visible with naked eye; white fimbriate edge present.
Stipe: 57–64 x 6 {median} x 8–10 {basal} mm; stipe Q 9.5–10.7; base clavate; floccosity floccose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow, stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 17.9; smell cocoa, raphanoid; taste mild.
Spore deposit colour: brownish olive, greyish brown.
Exsiccata: analysis not yet complete.

Spores: shape amygdaloid; colour through microscope yellow brown; guttulate yes; papillate no; Spore Code: O3; P1; D0.
Basidia: analysis not yet complete.
Cheilocystidia: main shape clavate-stipitate; special features apical thickening; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.80; A/B = 1.92; B/M = 0.97.
Pleurocystidia: no.
