Collection 1000102 (held at herbarium MPU) is the lectotype of Hebeloma cistophilum.

    Collection 1000102 was collected by Duvernoy, det: R. Maire (1113) on 1st December 1912 in Boufarik, ALGERIA (approx. 36.54°N, 2.87°E, altitude approximately 100 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Cistaceae (genus Cistus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded.

    Pileus: 10–30 mm diameter; shape convex, umbonate; margin characters involute; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre ochraceous; and colour at margin not recorded; with remains of universal veil yes.

    Lamellae: attachment adnate, emarginate; maximum depth not recorded; number of complete lamellae 50; tears absent; white fimbriate edge absent.

    Stipe: 20–30 x 3–5 {median} x 3–5 {basal} mm; stipe Q 6.0–6.7; base cylindrical; floccosity fibrillose, floccose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow, stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base yes; slenderness measure 9.7; smell raphanoid; taste bitter weakly.
