    Collection 20618 was collected by C. Rea (1411) on 16th January 1944 in Alachua, Gainesville, Florida, UNITED STATES (approx. 29.6664°N, 82.3299°W, altitude approximately 50 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as shaded lawn with a substrate of grassy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Cheilocystidia: main shape gently clavate, cylindrical, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose; special features many collapsed in exsiccata, septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.45; A/B = 1.12; B/M = 1.33.
