Collection 18412 was collected by H.J. Beker, L. Davies, B. Neill on 26th October 2018 in Cape Cod, near Race Point Road, Massachusetts, UNITED STATES (42.0766°N, 70.1993°W, altitude approximately 0 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Pinaceae (genus Pinus) and Fagaceae (genus Quercus) were present.
The surrounding habitat was described as mixed dune woodland with a substrate of sandy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Pileus: up to 45 mm diameter; shape umbonate broadly; margin characters involute; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre fawn; and colour at margin pale pinkish buff; with remains of universal veil no.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 9 mm; number of complete lamellae 88; tears absent; white fimbriate edge present.
Stipe: 34 x 13 {median} x 17 {basal} mm; stipe Q 2.6; base clavate; floccosity floccose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow, superior wick; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 2.0; smell marzipan, raphanoid; taste not recorded.
Spore deposit colour: brownish olive.
Exsiccata: analysis not yet complete.

Spores: shape amygdaloid; colour through microscope yellow brown; guttulate yes; papillate weak; Spore Code: O1; O2; P0; D3.
Basidia: 25.5–37.6 x 6.4–8.5 μm; ave. Q = 4.0; basidia spore nature not recorded.
Cheilocystidia: main shape gently clavate, cylindrical, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose, ventricose; special features median thickening, septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.46; A/B = 1.03; B/M = 1.49.
Pleurocystidia: no.
Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 150 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 8 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis ellipsoid, isodiametric, thickly sausage-shaped up to 20 μm wide.
Caulocystidia: caulocystidia maximum length 160 μm.
