    Collection 18373 was collected by H.J. Beker, L. Davies, N. Burghardt, J. Burghardt on 18th October 2018 in Stokes State Park, New Jersey, UNITED STATES (41.2081°N, 74.7756°W, altitude approximately 255 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Betulaceae (genus Betula), Fagaceae (genera Fagus and Quercus) and Pinaceae (genus Pinus) were present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as mixed woodland with a substrate of soil and litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Pileus: up to 44 mm diameter; shape umbilicate; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre clay-buff; and colour at margin pale yellow; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 5 mm; number of complete lamellae 88; tears absent; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 27 x 10 {median} x 15 {basal} mm; stipe Q 2.7; base bulbous; floccosity floccose; rooting no; mycelial chords yes.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 1.7; smell marzipan; taste not recorded.

    Spore deposit colour: brownish olive.

    Exsiccata: analysis not yet complete.

    Spores: shape amygdaloid; colour through microscope yellow brown; guttulate yes; papillate weak; Spore Code: O1; O2; P0; D3.

    Basidia: 25.2–29.5 x 7.9–9.1 μm; ave. Q = 3.2; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape cylindrical, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose, utriform, ventricose; special features septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.21; A/B = 0.82; B/M = 1.51.

    Pleurocystidia: no.

    Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 130 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 6 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis cylindrical, isodiametric, thickly sausage-shaped up to 20 μm wide.

    Caulocystidia: caulocystidia maximum length 70 μm.
