Collection 16673 was collected by T. Borgen (90.083) on 4th September 1990 in Paamiut/Frederikshåb, S, GREENLAND (approx. 62.01°N, 49.4°W, altitude approximately 10 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as arctic fenland with a substrate of boggy, grassy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Pileus: 20–29 mm diameter; shape umbonate weakly; margin characters eroded; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre not recorded; and colour at margin not recorded; with remains of universal veil no.
Lamellae: attachment not recorded; maximum depth up to 3 mm; number of complete lamellae 39; tears visible with x10 lens; white fimbriate edge weak.
Stipe: 40–50 x 5–6 {median} x 6–8 {basal} mm; stipe Q 7.7–8.0; base clavate, cylindrical; floccosity not recorded; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base yes; slenderness measure 14.6; smell earthy; taste mild.

Exsiccata: normal.
