Collection 16197 (herbarium acc. no. TNS F-36431) is Hebeloma sagarae.

Description

    Collection 16197 was collected by K. Hosaka (JPN10-528) on 17th October 2010 in Nantan-shi, Miyama-cho, Ashiu, Kyoto University Ashiu Research Forest, Kyoto, JAPAN (approx. 35.334°N, 135.7766°E, altitude approximately 655 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genera Fagus and Quercus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded with a substrate of nutrient-enriched (mole latrine) soil.

    Spores: shape amygdaloid; colour through microscope not recorded; guttulate not recorded; papillate no; Spore Code: O3; P2; P3; D3.

    Basidia: 19.3–24.4 x 6.2–7.1 μm; ave. Q = 3.4; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape balloon-shaped, cylindrical, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose, ventricose; special features clamped septa, irregular, geniculate, rostrate, septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.45; A/B = 0.90; B/M = 1.74.

    Pleurocystidia: only close to lamella edge.

    Caulocystidia: analysis not yet complete.
