Collection 16188 (herbarium acc. no. TNS F-23922) is Hebeloma sagarae.

    Collection 16188 was collected by Y. Yamamoto on 11th October 2005 in Hoshu-gun, Noto-cho, Mizuho, Ishikawa, JAPAN (approx. 37.2766°N, 137.0437°E, altitude approximately 70 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Quercus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded with a substrate of soil.

    Spores: shape amygdaloid; colour through microscope yellow brown; guttulate yes; papillate no; Spore Code: O3; P2; P3; D3.

    Basidia: 24.7–29.8 x 6.6–7.7 μm; ave. Q = 3.8; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape balloon-shaped, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose, turbinate, utriform, ventricose; special features many collapsed in exsiccata, septa, short, uniform; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.03; A/B = 1.31; B/M = 0.83.

    Pleurocystidia: yes.
