    Collection 15563 was collected by H.J. Beker on 15th September 2016 in Terskol Valley, Karachay-Balkar, RUSSIAN FEDERATION (43.2482°N, 42.5262°E, altitude approximately 2075 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Pinaceae (genus Pinus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as coniferous, subalpine woodland with a substrate of acidic soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 3 mm; number of complete lamellae 80; tears not recorded; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 50 x 9 {median} x 10 {basal} mm; stipe Q 5.6; base clavate, cylindrical; floccosity floccose; rooting not recorded; mycelial chords not recorded.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base not recorded; slenderness measure 6.5; smell cocoa, raphanoid weakly; taste not recorded.

    Spore deposit colour: brownish olive.

    Exsiccata: shiny.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape capitate-stipitate, gently clavate, cylindrical, ventricose; special features bifurcate, clamped septa, irregular, septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.36; A/B = 1.43; B/M = 0.98.
