    Collection 14710 was collected by D. LU on 26th September 2015 in Linville Falls, North Carolina, UNITED STATES (approx. 35.9499°N, 81.9304°W, altitude approximately 1000 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as mixed woodland with a substrate of bare soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Stipe: 33 x 5 {median} x 7 {basal} mm; stipe Q 6.6; base clavate, cylindrical; floccosity pruinose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base weak; slenderness measure 8.1; smell raphanoid; taste not recorded.
