Collection 13394 was collected by H.J. Beker, L. Davies on 6th December 2009 in Communal Bunyola, Mallorca, Balearic Islands, SPAIN (39.7021°N, 2.7249°E, altitude approximately 625 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Cistaceae (genus Cistus) and Fagaceae (genus Quercus) were present.
The surrounding habitat was described as Mediterranean, mixed woodland with a substrate of calcareous soil and litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Pileus: 34–41 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters scalloped, smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre cream; and colour at margin pale yellow; with remains of universal veil no.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 4 mm; number of complete lamellae 60; tears visible with naked eye; white fimbriate edge not recorded.
Stipe: 47–54 x 5–6 {median} x 5–7 {basal} mm; stipe Q 8.5–9.0; base cylindrical; floccosity pruinose, velute; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 11.8; smell cocoa; taste not recorded.
