Collection 12023 was collected by H.J. Beker, M.L. Beker on 17th August 2007 in Ossian, SVALBARD (78.926°N, 12.4541°E, altitude approximately 0 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as arctic, coastal tundra with a substrate of grassy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth not recorded; number of complete lamellae 30; tears absent; white fimbriate edge not recorded.
Stipe: 8–11 x 2 {median} x 1 {basal} mm; stipe Q 4.0–5.5; base tapering; floccosity pruinose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior not recorded; stipe flesh discolouring from base yes; slenderness measure 4.8; smell none; taste not recorded.
