Collection 12019 (herbarium acc. no. BR BR-MYCO 173982-61 (holotype), C C-F-90149 (isotype)) is the holotype of Hebeloma louiseae.

    Collection 12019 was collected by H.J. Beker, M.L. Beker on 17th August 2007 in Ossian, SVALBARD (78.9261°N, 12.4543°E, altitude approximately 5 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as arctic, coastal tundra with a substrate of grassy, mossy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     According to the GPS data the collection was in the Koppen climate code ET (Polar, tundra).

    Cortina present: no.

    Pileus: up to 7 mm diameter; shape umbonate broadly; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre clay-buff; and colour at margin greyish pink; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 2 mm; number of complete lamellae 36; tears absent; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 12–15 x 3 {median} x 3 {basal} mm; stipe Q 4.0–5.0; base clavate, cylindrical; floccosity pruinose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 9.0; smell none; taste not recorded.

    Spore deposit colour: analysis not yet complete.

    Exsiccata: analysis not yet complete.

    Spores: shape amygdaloid, limoniform; colour through microscope brown; guttulate yes; papillate yes; Spore Code: O1; O2; P0; D0.

    Basidia: 41.5–56.3 x 9.2–11.6 μm; ave. Q = 4.6; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape clavate-stipitate; special features rostrate, septa, sinuate; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 2.01; A/B = 2.25; B/M = 0.92.

    Pleurocystidia: no.

    Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 100 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 6 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis isodiametric, thickly sausage-shaped.

    Caulocystidia: caulocystidia maximum length 75 μm.
