Collection 11602 was collected by P.-A. Moreau (PAM-/04100302), det: PAM on 3rd October 2004 in Helfaut(62), Pas de Calais, FRANCE (approx. 50.64°N, 2.24°E, altitude approximately 80 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Betulaceae (genus Betula) and Salicaceae (genus Salix) were present.
The surrounding habitat was described as woodland with a substrate of burnt soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Basidia: 20.9–24.5 x 5.1–6.5 μm; ave. Q = 4.0; basidia spore nature not recorded.
Cheilocystidia: main shape cylindrical, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose, lageniform, ventricose; special features branching, median thickening, septa, short; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.59; A/B = 1.13; B/M = 1.60.
Pleurocystidia: no.
Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 75 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 6 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis angular, isodiametric, thickly sausage-shaped up to 15 μm wide.
Caulocystidia: caulocystidia maximum length 60 μm.
