    Collection 16439 was collected by E. Bizio, det: E. Bizio, E. Grilli (EG-121019.01) on 19th October 2012 in San Nicolò, Lido di Venezia, Veneto, ITALY (45.4287°N, 12.3931°E, altitude approximately 10 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Populus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous dune woodland with a substrate of mossy, sandy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth not recorded; number of complete lamellae 53; tears absent; white fimbriate edge absent.

    Stipe: 40–65 x 7–10 {median} x 7–9 {basal} mm; stipe Q 5.7–6.5; base cylindrical, tapering; floccosity fibrillose, floccose at apex, pruinose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow, stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 7.1; smell none; taste not recorded.

    Basidia: 33.0–34.6 x 7.4–8.8 μm; ave. Q = 4.1; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape clavate-stipitate, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose; special features apical thickening, septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.85; A/B = 1.18; B/M = 1.60.
