    Collection 12293 was collected by J. Vesterholt (96-092) on 26th August 1996 in Pohjois-Karjala: Ilomantsi, Mekrijarvi Grid 27degE:6969:702, FINLAND (approx. 62.77°N, 30.97°E, altitude approximately 140 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as arctic tundra, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Basidia: 28.7–29.5 x 8.3–8.7 μm; ave. Q = 3.4; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape clavate, gently clavate, lageniform, ventricose; special features apical thickening, bifurcate, large; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.42; A/B = 1.36; B/M = 1.09.
