    Collection 10923 was collected by H.J. Beker on 22nd April 2005 in Westhoek, West Flanders, BELGIUM (51.0875°N, 2.5755°E, altitude approximately 5 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as coastal dune with a substrate of calcareous, sandy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Pileus: 10–25 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre sepia; and colour at margin yellowish brown; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment adnate, free; maximum depth up to 2 mm; number of complete lamellae 35; tears absent; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 14–22 x 2–4 {median} x 2–8 {basal} mm; stipe Q 4.5–8.5; base bulbous, clavate, sand bulb; floccosity pruinose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 8.2; smell cocoa; taste mild.

    Spore deposit colour: analysis not yet complete.

    Exsiccata: lamellae blackening.
