Collection 1000245 was collected by C. Feilden, det: M.J. Berkeley on 14th August 1876 in Bellot Island, Nunavut, CANADA (approx. 81.7002°N, 64.8871°W, altitude approximately 0 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.
The surrounding habitat was described as arctic tundra, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
