    Collection 1000543 was collected by C.H. Peck in October 1869 in Albany County, Karner (=Center) and Catskill Mountains, New York, UNITED STATES (approx. 42.0093°N, 74.3821°W, altitude approximately 1000 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as woodland clearing, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
