Collecting details

Collection 1000540 was collected by W.A. Murrill, E.L. Murrill (WAM710) on 29th December 1908 in Morce's Gap nr Chinchona, JAMAICA (approx. 18.1005°N, 76.6501°W, altitude approximately 1500 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.
The surrounding habitat was described as montane, tropical woodland with a substrate of boggy, rich soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
