Description

    Collection 1000293 was collected by W.A. Murrill (795) on 5th January 1909 in trail from Monkey Hill to Sir John Peak. Possible Saint John Peak, near Portland Parish, JAMAICA (approx. 18.0471°N, 76.5556°W, altitude approximately 1800 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as montane, tropical woodland with a substrate of boggy, clayey, mossy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
