Collection 1000262 was collected by C.H. Peck in September 1871 in Rensselaer, Sandlake, New York, UNITED STATES (approx. 42.6373°N, 73.5407°W, altitude approximately 240 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.
The surrounding habitat was described as bog with a substrate of boggy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
