    Collection 1000229 was collected by C. Wright, det: M.J. Berkeley, M.A. Curtis in 1853 in Arakamchechen Island, Bering Straits, Chukotka, RUSSIAN FEDERATION (approx. 64.7567°N, 172.3864°W, altitude approximately 10 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded with a substrate of boggy soil.
