Collection 19417 was collected by S.A. Redhead (3250) on 30th September 1979 in Long Beach sec., Vancouver Island,Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, British Columbia, CANADA (approx. 49.0711°N, 125.7552°W, altitude approximately 10 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Ericaceae (genus Arctostaphylos) and Pinaceae (genus Picea) were present.
The surrounding habitat was described as dune with a substrate of sandy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
