Smith, Mrs Burt (AHS18337) on 13th June 1942 in Washtenaw, Burt's Woods, Ann Arbor, Michigan, UNITED STATES (approx. 42.2853°N, 83.751°W, altitude approximately 250 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Quercus) was present.

Cheilocystidia: main shape gently clavate, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose; special features not recorded; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.48; A/B = 1.01; B/M = 1.51.
Pleurocystidia: no.
Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 90 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 5 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis cylindrical up to 13 μm wide.
