Collection 13355 was collected by H.J. Beker, M.L. Beker on 8th November 2009 in De Rooten, Houthalen, Limburg, BELGIUM (51.0156°N, 5.3524°E, altitude approximately 45 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Betulaceae (genus Betula), Salicaceae (genus Salix) and Pinaceae (genus Picea) were present.
The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous slagheap woodland with a substrate of acidic, bare soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Pileus: 50–58 mm diameter; shape umbonate broadly; margin characters scalloped; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting yes; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre pale yellow; and colour at margin not recorded; with remains of universal veil no.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 9 mm; number of complete lamellae not recorded; tears visible with naked eye; white fimbriate edge not recorded.
Stipe: 57–70 x 7–8 {median} x 7–8 {basal} mm; stipe Q 8.1–9.6; base cylindrical; floccosity floccose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base yes; slenderness measure 10.4; smell raphanoid; taste not recorded.
