Collection 11696 was collected by A.L. Nielson, J. Vesterholt (JV-85-879b), det: J. Vesterholt on 18th September 1985 in Moesgsard Skov,S of Arhus UTM NH7716 TBU21, EJ, DENMARK (approx. 56.08°N, 10.23°E, altitude approximately 20 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Fagus) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as boreal, deciduous woodland with a substrate of burnt soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
